3G Technology in Libya

Tecore is an American company that supplies 2G and 3G technology on a global basis along with 4G network infrastructure. The company today announced that they have been instrumental in aiding the Libyan rebels by supporting their effort with telecom equipment and training. The company began assisting the rebels in April 2011 following the shut down of local wireless networks and signal jamming by the regime in rebel strongholds.
The Libyan-American coordinator for humanitarian aid reached out to Tecore following a rejection by the telecom infrastructure provider for the Gaddafi regime. The original network supplier refused to go against the government, and so the rebels turned to Tecore via a third party contractor to quickly deploy the company's flexible and cutting edge Core Network solution. Along with the Intelligent network equipment, the Tecore team also supplied the necessary training for set up and management.
